Manuka honey is the best known product derived from the manuka tree. It has been used not only as a food but also to treat wounds which did not close despite being treated in conventional ways. For this it has proved to be highly effective. Now the essential oil is available to us so my aim in this profile is to give some pointers as to how manuka essential oil may prove helpful in our work in applied zoopharmacognosy. I think it is likely to become one of our star oils!
